When I stitch, I pray. I have had a lot to talk to God about the last few days… and so then too, I have been able to work on a lot. Here is my progress on Angel’s Song… I have changed out a few lines of the Shepherd’s something something color (verigated creme to gold silk) for another more soft creme. Tina helped me pick the color as a subsititute, mainly because I want to stitch the largest section calling for the golds in the creme instead.
I also started “An HuMble Heart” yesterday as a distraction and side piece to Angel’s Song … here is the progress of that so far. I’m so far not sure if I want it to say “an humble heart” like they have it in the pattern.. mainly because when I read it I think an? An… humble heart? Or “a humble heart”? I know that it you have it say “an humble heart” it’s a silent beginning of h, and meant to be said more like umble but that somehow stresses my brain.
My mom is coming to visit tomorrow, I couldn’t be more thrilled. Honestly, I am so happy to have her come and stay.
I am thankful today for the small things I can do with great love…

I love your work!…I pray too when I am stitching or listen to audio sermons or studies.
The stockings in the next blog are nice too…and that Quaker piece will be gorgeous (and expensive) when you finish it! haha! Can’t wait to see it!
Have a great day and God bless you and yours

thanks for your visits and comments!
Joanne, I emailed you a reply earlier, and Gayle, thanks so much for stopping by! I love listening to audio sermons on my iPod… so glad to have found some rich ones through iTunes podcasts.
Also, I had to laugh about what you said about the Quaker piece… you are SO correct! I didn’t realize how much it would be… so I had to choke a minute at the register when they rang me up. The overdyed linen I got was $56, the Old Blue Paint floss (40 skeins) was near $80, and the three skeins of the other CC Wisconsin Woods was like $6 or so, and the pattern was $14. GASP! Good thing my mom was with me when I bought them, she pointed out the candy treats next to the register and suggested that they had those candy strategically placed there for the drops in blood sugar when faced with a purchase price! I had two mint patties with the hopes of not seeming too floored.
And, mind you, I was purhcasing other things! The linen for two stockings, the two patterns, and the perle cotton floss for those! Oh dear. Lucky for me I didn’t faint… I’m tall and that would have been a long way to fall
Needless to say, I am going to keep the Quaker Virtures for sure
I’m hoping that the linen and floss will arrive this week, and in the meantime, I’m stitching stockings
Thanks again for stopping by! Appriciate both your encouragement and comrodary, both in stitching and in faith.
