How many more people will share this same fate? This man Paul suffered at the hands of murderers. Extreme warning, GRAPHIC IMAGES CONTAINED WITHIN THIS LINK, DO NOT VIEW UNLESS YOU CAN HANDLE IT….
Although I am deeply saddened and disgusted by this cruelty, I’m paralized and without the knowledge of how this brutality going to stop happening. Will the “withdrawl” of our troops decrease this? Is there any way to stop Al Qaeda?

Monica, I do not believe withdrawing our troops will solve this. It will only embolden the terrorists and give them justification for their acts. To stop this, I believe two things must happen. First, Americans must wake up to the grim realities of the evil we are fighting and not continue to be blinded by the media and the PC-crowd. We are at war, a serious war with a vile belief-system that thinks beheadings are acceptable in the name of their supposed-god. Second, we can never waiver in our determination to fight this war and seek out the terrorists until every last one has been defeated.
Going into Iraq to liberate an oppressed people from a ruthless dictator who used beheadings as a form of deterant did not cause this. They were already doing it. They were already committing such atrocities in their own backyard and they even came here on airplanes to do so in ours. We cannot withdrawl, we cannot give up. We must stand firm in our resolve and fight for freedom. We must spread democracy and the word of God, our loving God who sent His Son to save us. It won’t be easy, but if we remain resolute, we will win, and this world will be better because of it.

I read your post & reply and although I haven’t previously stated, I competely and sincerely subscribe to your view. Your post Frightened says what I feel.
We can’t afford to end this, until we are assured that things have changed and that safety is restored. But isn’t the “deadline” approaching where the US is handing over control to the Iraqi’s? I know that that doesn’t mean that we are pulling out (or withdrawing) all of our troops, but it will change things a little, right?
I know that it’s bigger than just Iraq… does most of the Arab world feel the same as Al Qeada? It seems as if the hatred of Americans (and those who stand with us) is shared among many of that region.
